Chapin Art Museum of Myrtle Beach 3100 Ocean Boulevard Myrtle Beach South Carolina 29577 Wednesday Evening January 20th, 2010 6:30 -8:30 PM A PowerPoint presentation by internationally recognized and professionally accredited fine art appraiser, consultant and fine art broker Mark Alexander. In this program Mr. Alexander explained the fine art appraisal process including: Types of Appraisal Values Appraiser's Credentials and Codes of Ethics Standards and Practices Research Documentation Provenance Authentication Copies, Fakes and Forgeries Condition and Conservation He gave numerous examples of some of his past experiences identifying and valuing works of fine art, including works from the Old Masters to the present time. The talk was followed by a brief question and answer session.
